Join us for our Annual Capital District Workers’ Memorial Day Virtual Commemoration on Tuesday, April 28. The Capital District Area Labor Federation AFL-CIO, Northeast NY Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health, Albany County Labor Council, Saratoga County Labor Council and other partners are releasing a commemorative video remembering those who have died on the job in 2019, and honoring workers who are currently on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.  We will be airing the video at 10am on April 28th, 2020 for Workers’ Memorial Day. To remember and raise just demands for workplace safety and health and freedom from all forms of discrimination, the Mississippi Workers’ Center for Human Rights invites you to attend our Webinar: Dark Work—Devalued and Unprotected: Protecting Black Workers in the Time of Covid-19. For the past 20 years, on or around April 28th (Workers’ Memorial Day), we have held our Annual Workers’ Memorial Day Rally (WMD) to honor Workers who lost their lives, while trying to make a living. As Black “essential”   Workers continue to die at beyond alarming, disproportionate rates in the time of COVID-19, during this year’s memorials we must remember them and in their names, we must fight harder for all those forced to risk their lives to feed and house their families.     Click here to register
