The National Conference on Worker Safety and Health (#COSHCON17) is the only national gathering of its kind. We” ll bring together a diverse, inclusive and bilingual group of participants united around common goals: Empowering workers, making our workplaces safer and reducing the toll of on-the-job injuries, illnesses and fatalities.

We’ve just posted the conference agenda; check it for a full schedule of workshops, speakers and panelists.

#COSHCON17 will take place December 5 through 7, 2017 at the Maritime Conference Center just outside of Baltimore and minutes from BWI airport. Check the links below for a conference overview and details about registration, exhibits and sponsorship.  Check the links below for details about registration, exhibits and sponsorship.

Friday, December 8  will be a  Day  of  Action  in Washington DC.   Participants will leave the conference center in the morning and head to DC, meeting with  Congressional/Senate aides and Labor Committee staff to discuss worker health and safety priorities.

We’ve got a terrific line-up including:

  • Dynamic keynote speakers DeMaurice Smith of the NFL Players Association and Cindy Estrada of the United Auto Workers
  • Media panelists: Dave Jamieson, Huffington Post; Maryam Jameel, Center for Public Integrity; and Jane Von Bergen, Philadelphia Inquirer
  • Workshops on key health and safety topics, including Workplace violence prevention, Challenging “Blame-the-Worker” programs, Chemical Hazards, Climate Change, Infectious Disease and more

This year,  we’ve also added a poster session. If you have an occupational safety and health community project or research you would like to share, see our call for posters here.
