Presentation Proposals Due June 24.

We are now reviewing possible topics and presentations to be included in the program. Please fill out the 2016 Conference Proposal Form to let us know of topics that you think should be included and/or if you want to propose to make a presentation.

Please note: Workers, advocates, activists, and academics all have important stories and ideas to share, so we typically receive a high volume of requests. This year as always, we’ll work to include as many people as possible in the program.

Please submit topics or presentations by filling out the on-line form by June 24, 2016.

We look forward to working together to make this conference a great success.

Conference Program:

The conference program, still in formation, will include:

    Workshops on a wide range of topics including legal rights under OSHA, how to organize successful worker safety and health campaigns, strategies for policy advocacy, chemical hazards, and many other training topics for safety activists.
  • Panels with the leading figures in workplace safety and health.
  • Monolingual Spanish track; English/Spanish interpretation in all plenary sessions.
  • Rick Engler
    Inspiring keynote speakers, including Dr. David Michaels, Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA; Rick Engler, founder of New Jersey Work Environment Council and current member of the U.S. Chemical Safety Board; and Jordan Barab, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA.
  • Regional networking sessions to strengthen local health and safety movements
  • An awards banquet and party on Wednesday evening, December 7th.
