The Workplace Fatality Crisis:
From Tragedy to Prevention.

Following the 2016 National Conference on Worker Safety and Health, activists from around the country will hold a half-day meeting to discuss, plan, and launch a renewed approach to the epidemic of workplace fatalities.

Topics for the meeting will include:

  • A new approach to fatality causation and prevention
  • Reporting and disseminating information on workplace fatalities.
  • Increasing the accuracy and timeliness of the U.S. Worker Fatality Database.
  • Grassroots campaigns to fight for greater penalties for H&S violators.
  • Increasing involvement of family members in H&S campaigns.
  • Increasing networking among activists around the fatality crisis.
  • Mobilizing and building for Workers Memorial Week 2017.
