This site is not intended to provide a comprehensive library of occupational safety and health hazard information; a number of other sites already do a good job of this. Some of the best resources for technical OSH materials include:

• NYCOSH: The New York Committee for Occupational Safety and Health's website has a comprehensive set of links to a wide range of health and safety resources.
• NIOSH: The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health . Contains a wide range of valuable resources, including a number of chemical hazard databases.
• CCOHS: The Canadian Center for Occupational Health and Safety.
• OSHA: The Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
• HAZ-Map:Occupational Exposure to Hazardous Agents. A great searchable database of jobs, hazards, symptoms, and occ. diseases.
• AOEC: Association of Environmental and Occupational Health Clinics: Great lending library, including some materials that can be downloaded.
• CPWR: The Center to Protect Workers' Rights: Contains an extensive set of publications on safety and health in the construction sector.
• Health/PAC: A complete and searchable collection of the Health/PAC Bulletin, the hard-hitting and muckraking journal of health activism and health care system analyses and critiques, which was published from 1968 through 1993.
• WRAPP: The Work-Related Asthma Prevention Program (WRAPP), of the California Department of Public Health, has found that work-related asthma among custodians and cleaners is double the rate in the overall workforce. It has developed fact sheets in English, Spanish, and Chinese, as well as another, more detailed fact sheet in English for employers and facilities staff.
• Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation: Information on mesothelioma and asbestos exposure, including the most up-to-date information on treatment options.
• CancerHazards.org: A continually-updated, annotated bibliography of occupational cancer research produced by Hazards, the Alliance for Cancer Prevention and the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC).
• Public Citizen: A comprehenseive database of state occupational safety and health standards.
• Can My Boss Do That? A website that offers information on safety at work and other worker issues. CanMyBossDoThat.com is an independent, non-profit organization committed to educating and empowering U.S. workers.
