  Take ACTION on Silica
  Deadline: This Week!

Congress must act to pass a new budget by Friday, Dec. 11th. Special interests are trying to use the budget bill to block a new federal standard on silica. The long-awaited new rule will limit worker exposure to deadly dust and save up to 700 lives a year.

Special interests are trying to stop us. NOW is the time to contact President Obama and Congress.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

  • Contact your Senators and U.S. Representatives. Tell them you insist on a clean federal budget, with no restrictions on OSHA or other federal agencies charged with protecting our health and safety.
  • Contact President Obama. Let him know you support OSHA’s efforts to protect workers- and insist that he veto any budget proposal that blocks action on silica.
  • Sign up for the National COSH e-newsletter for updates on silica and workplace safety issues.
